"It is said that in the sweltering jungles of the south, behind each tree there is something that could kill you. The affectionately nick-named “Death Kiwis” are no exception. Lightning fast, equipped with razor sharp claws and a crushing, serrated beak, these flightless birds are in the higher echelons of the jungle food chain. Hunting in large packs, Death Kiwis can chase down and kill prey many times larger than themselves, using their beaks to tear flesh and crush bone. 

At the head of every Death Kiwi pack is the Alpha, a creature much larger in size and more ferocious than the rest. Growing almost twice as big as a normal Kiwi, a lone Alpha is a formidable foe. However, with a pack of ravenous Death Kiwis alongside them, they are even more of a force to be reckoned with.

Some Gremlin hosts burrow into the southern jungles to find Kiwi packs, stealing eggs or young and raising them as beasts of war. Some of these captured creatures have escaped into Mildaark Forest, and there have been sightings of Death Kiwi packs hunting as far north as Hobbleshire."
